A tailor made safari is one that is built around what you want to do. We do not believe that ‘off the peg’ and set departure tours fit everyone, so we build your safari around what you want to do. You, your family or your group of friends will be the only people in the safari vehicle. Your guides will be dedicated to you. We pick you up at the airport and take care of every aspect of your holiday and then drop you off – we also arrange flights when requested to do so.

It is always best to book your African safari 12 to 24 months prior to your departure. Prior planning and booking allows you to book the safari lodges that you want without issues. You get the best tents, the best rooms and the best guides if you book 18 months in advance. But, if you want to go on safari next month, then we can also help. Lodges release their unpaid rooms 30 days prior and as long as you are quick in decision making, we can nearly always put together an awesome last minute luxury safari experience.

It all depends upon the country you choose and what degree of luxury you choose. The Okavango Delta is more expensive than the Serengeti, and Chobe National Park is cheaper than the Masaai Mara. If you budget on $500-2500 a day you won’t go wrong. A ball park figure for a one week safari would be: need to be $4500 in Zimbabwe and Botswana (Chobe) $5500 Tanzania (Serengeti) and $9000 in Botswana (Okavango Delta) and from $6000-$12000 in Namibia (a week in Namibia is too short).

Raf and Francisca spent 20 years living in Africa, organising safari tours and diving adventure holidays. That is not a total of twenty years, but two decades each. They tracked the changes in infrastucture and the tourism industry and adapted their tours to what you, the clients wanted. In addition they travelled overland in their landrover inspecting lodges and national parks. From Cairo to Cape Town there is no country that they haven’t visited. To this day, Raf and Francisca can be found in Africa every year, escorting an annual exclusive tour, and spending time checking everything. There is no defiitive luxury African Safari. There are luxurious lodges, camps, and boutique hotels all around the wildlife areas of Africa. We can organise a top end experience in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe and even South Africa.

The best African Safari is the one which fits your budget and is as comfortable as you want it to be. For example, if you are a first time safari goer we do not recommend Namibia unless you have a love of landscapes and deserts. We would suggest the wide open plains of Tanzania, or the rolling hills that come down to the Chobe River in Botswana. If you want luxury and no crowds, Zimbabwe and Hwange National Park are hard to beat. If you are into apes, then the Gorillas of Uganda combined with Murchison Falls National Park are the best choice. If however you were after a more definitive answer, we would say that Africa is huge and it is open all year round. When it’s wet in Kenya, it’s dry in southern Tanzania, when it’s raining in Zimbabwe it’s as dry as a bone in South Africa. Most of our safari tours are in the dry season in whichever country you wish to visit. For example in February, the calving season of the Great Migration herds is on in the Ndutu area of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro conservation area. A few hundred miles to the South in Ruaha National Park, the roads are impassable and waterlogged. That is how micro the climate can be within one nation.
